Contemporary Portraits to be Treasured for Generations.
You might think you aren’t deserving of a portrait session. You might think you need to lose that elusive 10 lbs. or that you’re not photogenic. I’m here to assure you that the time is actually now.
Are you a couple celebrating an engagement or years of marriage? Are you a mom- or grandma-to-be? Do you have children on the cusp of adulthood and you want a photo session to memorialize this moment in time? Are you newly single and want to celebrate the next chapter of your life? Are you over 50 or under 50?
Life has key moments that will sometimes be forgotten if not for photography to be treasured for generations. Everyone deserves the chance to capture themselves in ways they didn’t think was possible. And given what life is throwing at us these days, it’s never been a better time to pamper yourself and create museum-quality wall art.
During each portrait session, you will feel totally glam no matter if you get dolled up in a sparkling or flowing gown, tuxedo or even just some nice classic jeans and an Oxford shirt. You will feel empowered, elegant and glamorous. You deserve to celebrate you at this very moment with images that are timeless, creative and soulful.
Studio portrait sessions are perfect for couples, singles, seniors or just best friends throughout the Treasure Valley communities of Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Nampa, Star and Caldwell, plus spots far and near throughout Idaho and the Pacific Northwest.
Check out these other frequently asked questions to ease your mind that you are exactly at the right time and place to create a photoshoot of your choosing.
Step 1: Free Consultation
The first step in any portrait session is to book a free, no-pressure consultation. We will use that time to go over the type of portrait session that calls to you, what you hope to accomplish and how we can create the very best experience you’ve ever had in front of a camera. We can meet in my Boise photography studio, or we can chat over the phone. I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect from a portrait photography session, what prints and products I provide and what they look like, and we can figure out what kind of photography style you’d like to experience, from contemporary to Vanity Fair portraiture. The possibilities are endless.
Step 2: The Photoshoot
We’ll hold your portrait session in my Boise photography studio, conveniently located at the Lakeharbor complex off W. State Street. We’ll have on hand a variety of beverages to ensure you remain refreshed throughout. Each session lasts about two hours and includes a makeover by one of my trusted professional hair and makeup artists (for up to two people) AND a $200 voucher toward the purchase of any prints or products. If you haven’t held your consultation in the studio, you’ll also be able to see and touch some of the products that are available: from folio boxes handcrafted in Europe to large matted prints that are made using museum-quality legacy materials.
Step 3: The Photo Reveal
Approximately 2 weeks after your session, we will meet again to show you a collection of edited images from your session. You’ll be able to decide which images you would like to purchase, what size prints, what products you might want to have made. Each print comes with a high-resolution digital version.
